Software Copying (NET)

Certain UTIL programs -- Gothix RepoWarez 1.0 and MirrorSofts 7.3 --
can duplicate another program already stored on the same cyberdeck.

While you are connected/immersed:

    run <copying program> <file#>

``<file#>`` is the local file number of the program you want copied,
exactly as shown by help directory. You can also run the copying
program itself by its own local file number.

The original stays exactly where it is -- copying never consumes or
moves the source. A successful copy creates a second, independently
numbered file. Copying uses ordinary deck storage and RAM like any
other program, so you need enough free storage for the new file.

Not every program can be copied. Some are protected against ordinary
duplication; others simply haven't been assessed yet. Either way, the
copying program tells you plainly when a target can't be copied --
it never pretends to try.

A Krack Co-Processor, if installed, improves a compatible copying
program's odds against protected software.
