Shield Factor (NET)

Shield Factor is your NET defensive protection while jacked in -- it
is not physical armor and it does not protect your meatspace body.

You raise it by running shield software on your cyberdeck:

    run <shield program>

Only one PRIMARY shield program (such as Sentry++ or Gothix
FractalArmor 1.0) can be active at a time -- trying to boot a second,
different primary shield while one is already running fails with a
clear error telling you the wrong shield type is already loaded.
SUPPLEMENTAL shield software (such as fRaKtaL Web 2.3) is different:
it adds to whatever primary shield you already have running, rather
than competing with it.

Halting a shield program:

    halt <shield program>

lowers your Shield Factor back down accordingly.

Check your current Shield Factor with help stats.
